Addo Elephant Lodge ad Safaris is a private owned lodge near to the Addo National Park. Situated within the Greater Addo region, just a short distance from the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropole, our fully fenced game reserve is both malaria free and tourist friendly. We offer an exhilarating experience with the majestic African Elephant. Revel in the natural beauty of the environs and its wildlife. Daily encounters, elephant safaris, game drives, luxury accommodation as well as chartered flights for a birds eye view of the coastline, reserve and wildlife. Day visitors as well as lodge guests can enjoy an elephant safari through the diverse valleys, plains and forests of the bushveld, whilst delighting in the flora and fauna from lofty heights. Observe the elephants within their natural environment and capture unforgettable moments with these majestic animals. Elephant Encounter Rates & Information – Adults are the standard rate, children 12 years old and under pay half the standard rate. No charge for 3 year olds and under. The standard rates exclude transfers. All rates are subject to change without prior notice. Bookings are essential. Self-drive day visitors and lodge guests to please download our map. Due to our remote location, we recommend that guests make use of our fully compliant in-house transfer company, which offers road transfers. Tour duration: ± 1 hour (includes a ride, walk, feeding the elephants) – we do have a day visitor restaurant should you wish to have a light meal and/or beverage after your encounter. Safari Times: Our safari times are at 08h00, 11h00 and 15h00. Please ensure that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the time. Child Policy: Children are allowed to ride the elephants, with a parent accompanied by an elephant handler. 50% discount for children under the age of 12 years. Accommodation – Relax in our remarkably spacious, sophisticated, environmentally friendly suites, set against the tranquil backdrop of the Africa bush. Our private and exclusive units, built on elevated wooden decks, are designed to blend discreetly into the natural environment. Some nestle in the Yellowwood Forest, others are set on the hillside, offering breath-taking views of the reserve. Game Drives: Addo Elephant Lodge & Safaris On our game drives and walking safaris you can observe at close range other wild animals such as giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, and antelope. Birding enthusiasts will also be astounded by the region’s abundant bird species. Game drive rate: R500 per person For the full big 5 experience we offer a package that includes a day trip through Addo National Park and Schotia Safaris, ending off with an authentic African Dinner.
