Welcome Back!
It’s a new academic year and the roads are getting busier already!
Whether you managed to get away for the summer or braved the heat, the feeling of a fresh start is all around!
And that’s the same here at PYP. Summer was a great time for us to step back, reflect and renew the goals for this coming season!
Mom (Dianne to you) went for a girl’s retreat with my sister to a small farm in southern Italy that is far away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and I dipped back into my teaching roots and took a group of kids out to Cambodia.
The Cambodia trip was about all things adventurous: a) to facilitate the kids getting their scuba licenses, and b) do some community work (we dug toilets for local farmers, built a well, and helped pave an area of a village school).
This is kind of work that has an immediate and measurable impact, is super rewarding, and is something that I really enjoy! It gives a different twist to the term adventurous holidays and speaks to what we’re about. It’s not all here and now experiences; it’s creating moments that last a lifetime for everyone involved.
But, here we are back at our stations with new and exciting developments that we cannot wait to share!
So what is new?
Well we’re expanding! We are moving into the wider GCC slowly but surely, and we are ready to help those of you who travel in the GCC regularly, to find adventures along the way!
We also have V2 of the app and website in the works! The updates are mainly going to impact activity owners but the key benefit to users will be the online payment gateway so you can book and pay immediately.
It means that we can integrate more owners seamlessly to put more activities on your radar! So watch this space!
The weather is still scorching outside and so air conditioned or early morning activities are still the way to go for the next few months!
Check out our summer activities blog or follow us on social media to find more activities that you can share with family and friends without melting!
See you on the other side of adventure! – Jack
This was beautiful. Thank you for your reflections.
