It was 2005 and I remember we took our kids on a road trip down the garden route in the fabled Western Cape of South Africa.
I asked the proverbial question, what does everyone want to do on this adventure!?
The family rattled off all at once. Jack, my youngest, pipped up from the seat behind me “I want to go scuba diving.” nevermind that he was only 8. “What about ziplining?” my eldest, Lara, then 11. No shortage of adrenaline in the rear of our little VW Jetta! “There’s a private reserve not far from here with caves and a nice restaurant” my husband chimed in, ever the game ranger.
So much to do in the air, on the land, and in the water. It got me thinking…
